Myth: Adams is closing (or the sky is falling--take your pick!).

FactWith talk of the budget crunch, people are necessarily worried about what

might come next, especially since Dr. Russell has stated several times about

the possibility of closing smaller elementary schools. When we began

working on our program modification to focus on sustainability, I spoke with

district staff and told them to let me know if we should not apply for these

large grants or make plans for the future. I was told that closing several

schools had been discussed, but that Adams was not on that list. There are

no guarantees in life, but I do not believe Adams is at risk at this time.
