1. Read the introduction to Propoganda Posters and take notes on why they were used.
2. Select USA from the right sidebar. Scroll down to view the posters on page 1; click on other pages for more posters.
3. Look through at least ten posters and choose three to save for your presentation.
4. What do these posters tell us about the life of civilians in the USA?

Site #2:
1. Look through at least ten photos on the FirstWorldWar.com Vintage Photographs - Homefront and choose two to save.
2 . Save (download) the photos as .jpg files.
3 . Copy the descriptions into a Word file.
4 . What do these photos tell us about the life of civilians in a war zone?

Site #3:
1. Read the lyrics and listen to the song, Keep the Trench Fires Going for the Boys Out There.
2 . Copy the lyrics into a Word document.
3 . Save the link to the song in the Word document.
4 . What does this song tell us about life in the USA during the war?

Site #4:
1. Read Some Of The Restrictions On Civilians' Lives During The First World War in Britain.
2. Take notes on four restrictions from the Defence of the Realm Act.
3. Read Food Shortages and Rationing.
4. Take notes onn how Britain handled food shortages.
5. Read War Work.
6. Take notes on the effect of the war on jobs.

Site #5:
1. Read Order of the White Feather. (Go to the site, then scroll down.)
2. Take notes on the purpose and the effect of this "Order."
3. View the poster below and relate it to the work of the "Order."
