ERIC and the Professional Database Collection through EBSCO

1. To access journal articles, go to the Library Home (http://schools.4j.lane.edu/churchill/library/).
2. Select EBSCOHost. (Username and password for remote access are available in the library.)
3. Select Search Other Databases.
4. Click OK.
5. Select All Databases.
6. Scroll down the list and select ERIC and/or Professional Development Collection.
7. Enter your search terms in the Find box.
8. Click in the Full Text box to limit your results to full text only.
9. The Results List presents articles, abstracts, and an HTML and/or PDF link.
10.Select Sort by: Change Date to Relevance to reorganize your search results.
11.Select an article (either HTML or PDF).
12.Options for Print, E-mail, and Save to folder are at the top.

The Resource Warehouse (RW)

Resource available to all SLC grantees. The RW is a virtual space for sharing
SLC implementation tools, information, and how-to suggestions.
Using this Site - Resources for Smaller Learning Community Grantees. Contains additional information about the organization and content included in the RW.

The RW includes resources from the Serving Smaller Learning Communities Partnership, the technical assistance provider for the Federal SLC Grant Initiative.

This NWREL (Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory) site also published the booklet,
"Small Learning Communities: Implementing and Deepening Practice".
This booklet brings together a knowledge base, tools, and resources for implementing and deepening small learning community practice. The booklet identifies five domains of SLC practice.
