top Attendance

Consistent attendance is the key to success in school. Please arrive on time everyday and schedule appointments outside the school day as much as possible.

top Homework

Students should be working Monday - Thursday for a maximum of 45 minutes to one hour a day on homework. Homework generally includes reading, spelling, and math on a daily basis. If your student receives a Homework Referral, please sign and return the following day with the completed work.

top Box Tops for Education

The 4/5 Team is again collecting Box Tops for Education for scholarship funding for field trips. There are collection boxes available in all 4/5 classrooms and in the main hall.

top Healthy Snacks

Classroom snacks must be healthy in nature, no cookies, chips, soda, etc. We are asking that all snacks be peanut/peanut oil free, due to extreme allergies. In addition, snacks need to be small, portable finger food, as students move from class to class. Students may have a water bottle filled with water only.

integritytop Reminders

  1. Students enter the building at 8:05 a.m. and teachers need to be with students. Teachers are unable to confer during this time.
  2. Please inform us of any upcoming trips. We are unable to provide homework for trips in advance, as the homework is an extension of in class activities, and is not a substitute for classroom participation in classroom activities.
  3. If your student is ill, when you call the office in the morning, request afternoon homework pickup.
  4. Please remember that we have extremely large class sizes this year and very much so appreciate your patience. On average, we see 70-90 students in the classroom each day.

top Best Ways to Contact Your Child’s Teacher

  1. E-mail
  2. Leave a message in the office
  3. Prearrange an after school check-in or conference
