Welcome to Edison's Library and Technology Center |
The library is a hub of activity at Edison, with a welcoming rocking chair and a well-loved collection of books. Classrooms make weekly visits so students can work on projects or check out books. Parents may also request a library card to check out books for the whole family. In addition, our library is well used for studying, our homework club, and other scheduled activities.
Our teachers strive to help all students become accurate and fluent readers who are able to comprehend and intelligently discuss what they've read, develop an appreciation for high quality literature, and build a foundation for a life-long love of reading.

Technology at Edison
In addition to our book collection, the library is home to Edison's desktop computer lab of iMac and eMac computers and a projection system. Beyond the technology center, you'll find a few COWs roaming the halls! That's Computers on Wheels, our mobile labs of iBook and MacBook laptops with wireless connection to the 4J network, internet and local printers. Along with the COWs, our students and teachers make use of SmartBoards (interactive whiteboards), document cameras, digital cameras and digital microscopes to enhance teaching, learning and communication.
Edison is a proud participant in the District's TILT grant and Pacific University's OTEN grant. Through these opportunities, seven of our teachers are investing in advanced training in technology integration, and sharing their expertise with their colleagues.
Support the Library
Our annual Fall Book Fair, held in November, raises funds to purchase new library books. Please enjoy the fun, encourage a life-long love of reading and support the Book Fair!
