The Edison Literacy Program provides one-on-one tutoring for students who are developing literacy skills. We use the Response to Intervention Program, Read Naturally, along with additional literacy materials and high interest reading. If your child is recommended for the program, you can receive free materials, training and support to work together at home, or your child can work with a tutor during school hours. Volunteer! We couldn't have our literacy program without volunteers. If you can devote a regularly scheduled hour or so during the school day each week, you can have the joy of working with a child as he or she becomes a confident, fluent reader. Contact the school office to volunteer, 687-3284. (Last update: June 2008) |
