Charlemagne Garden Club
2008/2009 -
Le Jardin
***Garden Club Announcements***
GARDEN CLUB BEGINS
FEBRUARY 12th!
This term, Garden Club will run from February 12th until Spring Break.
It will cost just $5 for these six weeks (money used for materials,
seeds etc).
Parents: please sign your child up (we would like YOU to sign them up,
not have them do it). We ask, as usual, that you assign yourself a
date to help out at Garden Club and also a date to bring a snack.
Garden Club is limited to 25 children, on a first-come, first-served
basis. Please note that we need your helping hands and presence to
ensure that Garden Club runs smoothly. We will begin by planting peas,
followed by various digging, planting, and composting projects as the
weeks go by. Flopsy and Thumper may make a star appearance before
Spring Break to illustrate how to grow food for your bunny.
VOLUNTEERS - would you like to spend the Spring term helping out with
kids in the garden? Katy Brundan will be away from Spring Break until
the summer, so Meredith Clark will need a substitute to take on the
role of co-leader for Garden Club. You do not need to have any
experience gardening! Garden Club will only be able to continue if we
can find a co-leader, so please don't be shy!
Garden Club contacts: Katy Brundan (kbrundan@uoregon.edu) and Meredith
