***Garden Club Announcements***
April 2008
SPRING into action with Garden Club on Thursdays 2.45-3.45pm! This is a great time of year to be in the garden, and we have lots of lovely seeds growing already (peas, spinach, arugula, radishes). Please sign your child up in the office, even if you did so in February. We are asking parents to attend one meeting per term and to bring a snack if at all possible - we need your help! There is a $5 fee for Garden Club for the spring term to purchase materials, seeds, tools, art projects etc. Please let the office know if you are unable to pay the fee.
Highlights in the garden last term included digging, planting, taking apart the compost pile and finding compost (and composting worms), and a visit by Flopsy and Thumper to help demonstrate "gardening for your bunny". This term we will be planting and harvesting lots of veggies, and hopefully having a plant sale!
More information from Katy Brundan (kbrundan@uoregon.edu) or Joanne Schofield (adamotaleghan@yahoo.com).
