Notes from the meeting
Hello all first grade Parents….  Thank you to those who came and participated in the meeting last night at fox hollow. 

Please review the documents posted (see Forms section below) as this is what was discussed.  Please keep in mind that these are just general guidelines and we can change however the group would like.  The general consensus was to move ahead with Quebec 2013.  There was discussion of alternate sites and the savings, which was not a lot.  Besides the t-shirts (see below) there would be no fundraiser in first grade.  Volunteers/jobs are listed below. 

Finance Chair:  Kacey Miller

Fundraising Chair:  Lori Redding and Christine Sampley

Communication Chair:  Reza Rejaie & Cindy Boettcher

PiggyBanks:  Niloo Marshi-Movassaghi, Eric Dungey & Lara Bissonnette

Niloo is going to try to get the piggybanks donated, Eric is looking into the labeling and lara will help getting these into the classrooms to be decorated and sent home w/ a note explaining the saving process for Quebec.

Lori  is going to look into getting Charlemagne t-shirts printed up to sell at jog-a-thon.  Not sure if they can be ready or not.  We will need someone to staff a table on May 15th, if we can get the t-shirts.

Cindy is going to get all of this information to the webmaster and each parent will be able to access Quebec 2013 on our website:  http://schools.4j.lane.edu/foxhollow/Quebec.html

Lastly it was discussed, that the majority of the cost of each child’s trip does come from the parents.  Fundraising helps, but for most does not fund this trip.  Example:  many kids in 4th grade have $150,- $200.  In their accounts.  

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me or one of the committee members listed above.  Also, there will be a need for many more volunteers as fundraising increases in the years to come and trip planning starts!!  Thanks for your time.
