Hillside International is an elementary school that was founded in 1976 with an emphasis on excellence. Hillside has remained committed to the mastery of the basic skills. Hillside International School promotes quality academic achievement within a caring community.
Hillside is recognized by the State of Oregon as an "Exceptional School." Hillside's curriculum is comprehensively examined to insure alignment with state examinations and benchmarks. Hillside Elementary is proud of the high scores our students have earned on these tests.
The Hillside student becomes an active reader, writer, information seeker, creative problem solver, and responsible citizen. By maintaining high expectations for success, behavior, and academic performance, students are engaged, invested, connected, and active in their own education.
Part of what makes Hillside such a rich educational environment is the time and energy that parents bring to our school. Hillside and Adams Elementary School are two schools on the same campus. The two schools share a Library, Gymnasium, Office, Cafeteria, and a Regional Learning Center that serves children who need extra help.
