Peer Mediators
Peer Mediators are students selected for advanced training in helping other students resolve problems peaceably. Students wishing help may request Peer Mediation by filling out a “Request To Peer Mediation” form and turning it in to the front office.
Personal Assistants
Personal Assistants are 7th and 8th grade students who support other students in being academically successful. Under the guidance of the building Student Services Coordinator, they receive training in September, and then provide individual tutoring and behavioral support in the classroom. They meet once a month to debrief and receive additional training. Personal Assistants must have passing grades and a pattern of positive school behavior. If you are interested in being a Personal Assistant, talk to the Student Services Coordinator.

Noon Mentoring Program
It may not seem like a lot - adults from the community volunteering to come in every Wednesday during lunch time to sit down with a student and talk during lunch. But it means a lot. Many students yearn for an adult to listen to them, to share their dreams, to encourage them and simply be there consistently through their days. Sometimes parents aren't in a position to meet all these needs. So folks in our neighborhood have stepped up to help. The results are shown by happy faces, improved school attendance, and even in rising grades. It's pretty simple. It has huge rewards for all.
