Madison offers direct and consultative services to students who have been identified as needing an individualized educational program. Eligibility for specialized instruction and monitoring is determined by a multidisciplinary Support Services Team (SST) made up of teachers, specialists and parents. These services take a variety of forms, depending on a student's academic, behavioral and physical needs.
Talented and gift students' individual needs are addressed in every class at Madison Middle School. The rate and level of learning are met through enrichment, acceleration, and extension offerings within the classroom, throughout the school, and/or the greater community. It is the hope of the staff that programs and services can be provided for each T.A.G. student as are needed by each individual. This will be accomplished through close communication among students, parents, teachers, administrators, and counselor/TAG coordinator.
Parents and Teachers can recommend students be identified for the TAG program at any time by contacting the Counselor/TAG Coordinator, Heide Eide, 687-4310
