We’re
not talkin’ about the rice...
IT'S A GREAT TOOL FOR MONITORING YOUR ACADEMIC PROGRESS
Basmati is a grade reporting system that allows students
and their parents to view their student’s classroom
progress on-line. All you need is the student’s school
I.D. number and Basmati password, and you can then see a
student’s progress report from his/her teachers who
use Basmati. Currently, some science and math teachers are
using this program and we are hoping parent enthusiasm will
encourage more teachers to use it.
Here’s how it works:
• Click on the "Login to Basmati" link on
the RMS Web Site
(or visit https://basmati.esd189.org/eugene4j/login.php)
• Click the button for Roosevelt Middle School
• Enter the student’s six digit I.D. #
• Enter the student’s alphanumeric password
(all letters capitalized)
• Click on Check Grades
This will bring you to a grade summary screen. You can then
click on the “View Grade Book” icon that will
reveal a detailed progress report for that class. Please
note that it is only as current as the date on which the
teacher last updated it. (You can see the date on the report.)
For a number of valid reasons, not all of our teachers utilize
Basmati at this time. Of course, they offer other means
of informing students and parents of their current grade
and academic progress.
Teachers using Basmati are going the extra step in order
to provide you with more information in a more efficient
manner. Students, if you have a question about your grade,
please see your teacher. Parents, if the report indicates
your student is struggling, feel free to contact the teacher.
If your student’s performing at a satisfactory level
please continue to utilize the planner to monitor their
progress.
